The Ortega Equestrian Center offers horse training for riders of all ages and styles

Christina Carson is a horse trainer who trains horses using classical concepts from Western Riding traditions, working with the horse’s nature and understanding how horses think and communicate to train them to accept humans and work safely, confidently, and responsively with them. One of Chris’s stated goals is to make horses and riders safe, so they can achieve a true union.

Cherylin Von Aldenbruck is the English trainer and owner of Equestricise at Ortega Equestrian Center.  “Horse” was her first word and started riding consistently at age 7. Got her first horse at 12, became an assistant trainer at 14 and turned professional at 17. She has competed in dressage, hunters, jumpers, eventing, and vaulting and has been teaching and training for over 40 years. The focus of Equestricise is to train horsemanship and all aspects of care and training of the horse. Riders in training learn riding, but also importantly they also learn grooming, tacking, lunging and all other ways of handling horses. Riding lessons focus on developing the riders seat with a basis of dressage and equitation principles. From there riders can move into cavaletti and jumping lessons.
